Our students took part in an important and informative Anti-Bullying in Schools talk today, featuring guest speaker Inspector Akmal from PDRM.
The session gave our students a clearer understanding of what can be considered bullying, the impact that bullying can have on others, and why our words and actions matter. More importantly, students learned what they can do if they ever find themselves being bullied — including how to respond, when to seek help, and who they can turn to for support.
It was a valuable opportunity for our students to ask questions, gain a better understanding of the issue, and leave with practical knowledge that they can carry with them both in and outside of school.
The inspector’s insights perfectly aligned with the latest national benchmarks for campus welfare, specifically mirroring the core pillars found in the KPM Safe School Management Guidelines (Garis Panduan Pengurusan Sekolah Selamat).
Talks like these from help our staff and students transition from bystanders to upstanders helps heal the psychological climate of our campus and community. Treating school safety as an active, supportive ecosystem is vital for long-term student mental health, especially in the wake of rising bullying cases across the nation.
School life is about so much more than just hitting academic benchmarks; it’s where we learn how to navigate the real world together. Discovering the value of empathy and understanding our responsibility to look out for one another are huge milestones in personal growth. These moments shape student character far beyond the classroom, helping everyone develop into thoughtful, community-minded individuals.
A big thank you to our PDRM guest speaker Inspector Akmal for taking the time to speak with our students and help us build a safer, kinder school community.
