About Sanctus International School

Our History

The inspiration for Sanctus International school came in 2021 when an adventurous duo; Mr. Ng Yee Tong and Mr. Kumareshan envisioned an international school based on Carls Rogers’s educational philosophy that all human beings have a natural propensity to learn and the role of the teacher is to facilitate such learning. Rogers believed that significant learning takes place when the subject matter is relevant to the personal interest of the student.

To achieve that, our school has decided to offer Cambridge International Curriculum which shapes an individual’s education from age 5 to 19 and allows them to focus on subjects based on their strengths and interests. This makes choosing the direction of higher studies easier.

The term “Sanctus” is derived from the Latin word meaning “holy”. We choose the name Sanctus to reflect our commitment to aspire our students to cultivate characteristics of a Sanctus such as being an excellent role model, good at teaching people to live lives of goodness, generosity and selflessness. These characteristics are important to empower them to become responsible citizens who will continue to contribute to their communities, workplaces and the nation in the future.

Since school facilities play a significant role in students’ development, the founders understand parents’ concern and students’ requirements. Therefore, the school was extensively renovated in 2021, and now has more than 35 spacious classrooms, well equipped science labs, cafeteria, sick bay, computer lab, art room, music studio and sports grounds for badminton.

We believe that a happy child is a successful one. We are committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn, where all are valued. We intend that all children should enjoy their learning, achieve their potential and become independent life-long learners.
